2.X.1.10 Stakeholder Engagement Management

Component Strategy

What

Who matters and how you’ll keep them involved, informed, and aligned.

Why

Purpose

Define how stakeholders will be identified, engaged, and kept aligned throughout the project lifecycle. A strong stakeholder strategy builds trust, reduces surprises, and keeps momentum alive.

1. Stakeholder Register

QA TeamQualityHighMediumTest environment accessWeekly updates + Slack channelPM

Tip: Use High/Medium/Low or 1–5 scoring to evaluate Influence and Interest.

2. Stakeholder Analysis Grid

CategoryDescription
High Influence / High InterestEngage closely. Keep fully informed.
High Influence / Low InterestKeep satisfied. Don’t overload with detail.
Low Influence / High InterestKeep informed. Provide context, not deep involvement.
Low Influence / Low InterestMonitor, minimal engagement unless needed.

Use this to place stakeholders on an engagement map (Notion doesn’t support visual quadrant yet — but you can manually cluster them by category).

6. Risks & Escalation Points

  • Sponsor unavailability = delays in decisions
  • External stakeholders unclear on deliverables = misaligned expectations
  • Stakeholder conflict between product and ops teams

Include a short mitigation plan for each.
